I’ve taken the lead on managing our CRM system, Handshake, at the FAU Career Center, and it’s become one of the most impactful parts of my role. I handle account creation, data imports, event and appointment tracking, survey design, and label creation. My focus is on maintaining the system and ensuring it serves our team’s needs and drives better outcomes for students and employers.
I’ve trained staff on navigating and using the system efficiently, and I’m often the point person for troubleshooting, reporting, and customizing features to fit our workflows. I use the CRM to generate performance reports, support employer relations, and streamline data collection, making our operations more responsive and efficient.
When we transitioned the FAU Graduating Student Survey into Handshake, I managed the entire process to ensure a smooth data migration. We maintained a response rate above 85 percent and started using those insights to improve our programming and outreach. I also integrate CRM data with tools like Power BI and Excel to uncover trends and help leadership make more informed decisions.
CRM management has become a core strength of mine because it sits at the intersection of data, strategy, and user experience. I take pride in making complex systems simpler and more powerful for my support teams.
