Project goal:
To modernize and reconfigure the FAU Career Center to improve student, staff, and employer experiences. This included a full renovation of the lobby, classroom, kitchen, and staff offices, as well as transforming a standard office into a small call center and converting a meeting room wall into glass to enhance visibility and light.
Project outcome (in progress, completion expected August 2025):
Career Advising Space Expansion: Increased career advising stations from 3 to 8, a 166% increase, allowing for more simultaneous advising sessions and reduced wait times.
Phone Operations Optimization: Relocated phone operations to a back-end office to reduce noise and eliminate front-desk traffic interruptions during peak hours.
Kitchen Modernization: Redesigned and upgraded the kitchen area to provide a more welcoming and functional space for visiting employers, interviewers, and staff.
Collaborative Implementation: Played a key role in logistics planning with IT, attended weekly construction meetings, and provided input on furniture and layout decisions to align with center needs.
